Of course one thing leads to another. I never liked the cheap looking mantel. Now it gets a redo to! This is the before picture. Dad had a hard time getting the tile off the wall.

Inside the Keller theater in Portland Firday night. We loved "Legally Blonde"

We were so excited to see the play with the Roses. It was so kind of them to invite us to use their other season passes. We always have alot of fun with them.

Lynn Rose and I with a cute statue in Pioneer Park. We went by the Art museum. They were showing contemporary art, None of us like contemporary art so we went on to an old 1912 movie therater. The sympony was practicing. It was very grand and detailed. Sorry i didn't get any pictures.

Later Saturday night we met with the Robertsons. Dave made us a wonderful valentine's dinner. It's becomeing a tradition. Dave is a great cook. Oh how we love the Robertson's and Ackerman's!

Sunday Kendall spoke in Sacrement meeting and did a great job! I loved hearing her testimony at the end. Good job Kendall!

Spring Break

It has been in the 40's and 50's this week so I didn't want to go out and do yard work. To cold. This is the week that I get a big jump on the yard work. Not this year. Mom couldn't stand to see me just sit around and do nothing and resting. So I painted the Living room, stairs, hall up stairs and the loft. It is a nice goldish brown color. I like it and mom loves it.

Alexis spent the week with us, so she help me paint. She was great help.

The loft has two accent walls that are a couple shades darker. You might also notice that grandpa Schultz's old entertainment center is gone and a new clock on the wall.

Grandma had me cut and rebuild the entertainment center to make much smaller and we bought a 26 inch flat screen. The old TV died. 26 inch seems to be just right because we are so close in the loft. Mom is happy and now is planning on what color I'm to paint the family room, kitchen, and our bedroom. I think there will alot more bad weather days ahead for me.

If you look real close there is something missing in this picture.

It GONE. I posted it on Craig's List Friday morning by noon I had a man and wife looking at. I could tell, he was sold and in love with it. He wanted Full Throttle to look at it. So Saturday morning I drove it over to Full Throttle the two machanics came out to look at it. I asked if they would like to start it up and they said no they didn't need to listen to it. They knew it was a good bike and engine. With the money and some in saving mom and I will be out of debt except for the house. IT IS THE GREATEST FEELING. It is questionable whether I will be able to coach in the future and we not sure with the economy what mom's day care will be like in the future. So we will be prepared.

Three Day Weekend!

Jillian and Cody's car made it here and Back! We were so glad to have them here for the week end. They stayed at the Robles. Jillian isn't showing yet. They still look in love:)

Valentine's day we went over to the Robertson's for a homemade dinner compliments of Dave. It was very delish!! I look forward to it every year. I think this was the 4th year he invited us. They have the Ackerman's too and we always enjoy their company.

Dad feels a little better today. He has a wrestling match near Mattawa tonight so he will home late.

Rochelle has herceptin today so Carter and Kami are here for the afternoon. I'm glad to have them over once in a while. My daycare kids get really excited to see them.

I made 25 containers of Strawberry freezer jam last night. We were out of it so I was happy to see one of the grocery stores have Strawberries 2/$3! It really isn't cheaper but we are spoiled and only like freezer jam. I bought some store jam and we couldn't stand it. Ick!

Got to go take care of the boys. Someone smells!

Bored and Sick

I had to put a picture in, so I put mom in because she so daren beautiful. I am coughing my head off, so mom told me to stay home from church today. I am in the middle of wrestling. I have some pretty good boys this year, but two are injuried, six were out because of grades and two have just become eligible with enough practices. Two of them are behavior problems. Major behavior problems. My assistant coach has NEVER wrestled before. Two more practices and three more matches.
I am looking forward to spring and summer. To get out of the house and out in the yard. I haven't been walking much the past 5 or 6 months. It shows around my stomach. I am still the same weight but an inch or two bigger. I have noticed a lot more aches and pains. My hip is aching, my neck, were I sit is hurting. With all that LIFE is still good. I am in Love with my wife, I love my family, Spring is just around the corner and I can go take a nap.

I think they knew what was in the round packages as they kept throwing them BEFORE they opened them.
I know you are asking where are the rest of the pictures of the rest of the day when Rochelle and Kims families came. I guess with Dad being sick the job of picture taking fell by the way side. Maybe Jillian and Rochelle got some and will post them.

We missed Bailey and Chauntel's families but the in laws enjoyed them. WE had 16 of the 24 of us.

Full House

We had Kooper here this week. What a cute personality he has. He really loved all the kids that are at our house everyday. He would say "My Friends!" When they would go home he would try to get in the car with them to go home with them. I told him they would be back the next day, besides he had Tristen and Gavin

to play (bully) with. I have never had such an easy kid to put to bed as Kooper! His parents have trained him well. We really enjoyed bonding with him. He's so cute. Glad Bailey and Mike are having another cutie!

I have had some back pain off and on for months. The Dr sent me to a specialist and I had an MRI. Just discs degenerating-normal aging stuff. Need to stretch and exercise more. I am just gald I don't require surgery!! The back pain does seem to be linked to lifting the kids. I'm trying no to do that.

Lake Chelan Vacation

Dad and I went with Wagars to thier condo on Lake Chelan last week end. Since it was Conf week end we didn't miss any responsibilites. We had a great time relaxing, eating and playing. The church is one mile from their condo so we watched conf there. This first picture is at "blueberries" fruit stand and resturant. We had the BEST breakfast there. This was a huge chair at an animal farm we stopped at. Dad's feet were dangling! Made him look like the incredible shrinking man!

Dad is going to sell his motorcycle so he has more money to build a new house. I am the cautious one in the family. What if we don't sell our house and what if the market goes down and we can't sell the new house for retirement? Daycare is a problem if we move into a apt. So it's pretty iffy right now.

I was wondering who's coming for Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Pre reunion Ride

Before the Reunion Ken called and ask me to meet him Wenatchee. He had rented a Harley Davidson and had three friends that were riding with him. One of them owned a cabin (house) in Chelan. They invited us up for lunch. The cabin is in the back ground. Also notice that grandpa McGinnis is on the back on Ken bike and Diane is on the back of Jerry's bike. They got off in Chelan were Grandpa's car was and drove it back to Duval.
From Chelan we drove up and around on the North Cascade Highway. It is some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.
The next day Ken and I took a ferry across the sound and rode to the farthest point west in Washington, Cape Flattery. ON the way back we stopped at this lake.

On Thursday Ken, Steve and I took your wives on a ride to Deception Pass. So mom put her leather on for the ride. Hot mama. I guess I should turned the picture before I downloaded it. Sorry. Do you like the leather dew rag??

A Trip to Bend Oregon

Mom and I made a trip to Bend Oregon with our friends the Roses. On our way we passed this tree that was full of pairs of tennis shoes. We took a picture because we knew no one would believe us.
In Redmond Oregon we rent Harley Davidson motorcycles for 24 hours and rode around Bend, Sisters and the Mountains around Bend. Mom like the seat. She told to find a bike with that kind of seat. We stop at this beautiful falls. I don't remember the name of it, however it was beautiful and a nice cool break from the bikes.
The next day we drove up to Mt. Bachlor. It was quite cold in the morning and beautiful. We enjoyed the ride. At about 1 pm we turn the bikes in and drove to Sister where we visited the little shops.
Friday mornng we did a session in the Portland temple and that night we went to Phantom of the Opera.
It was a great way to end our summer before we start back to school.

Last week Sandra and I drove to Spokane to visit my sister, Linda and her husban Carl. They just sold their home on the South side of Spokane and move into an apartment about a week or so ago. They are having a home out in the valley near the Idaho boarder. If I remember correctly in Greenacres. Linda drove us out to see it and Cory and Luann met us there with their three children.

It will be a very nice home when they get it finished. Sometime in November. I loved the view there. Mountain all around, in very direction.

Linda drove by the house mom and dad was living in when I was born. So we stop and took some picture of it. We live there a little over a year, before moving to Moses Lake.

This is my cousin Marilyn. She was a just a little younger than me. It seems like Marilyn and Joann were the two I played with the most. Marilyn was working in her shop. We also stop and visited Jackie. It was her 64th birthday. Sorry we forgot to take any pictures.
Another picture of the house. It was a great day I really enjoyed seeing Linda and all my relatives. When we got back home I filled up the gas tank. It only took 8 gallons of gas to fill the car up and we had travel 309 miles. I will help with the math, we got 38.6 miles to the gallon. We used the air conditioner going and back.

Bailey was here and took some pictures of mom and I on the motorcycle over looking the Tri-cities. This one is of my hot bike babe. Mom and I plan to take a ride on Wednesday with the Roses and Browns to Dayton for breakfast (Biscuits and Gravey). After breakfast the girls will visit the small shops in and the guys will take a short ride up into the mountains.

Route 66

School was out on June 12th at 11:30. All the teachers from the elementary and middle school stand wave goodbye to the students as the buses pull out. It is a big deal. After that the middle school teacher meet for a very short meeting. I was the first one in my car and on my way home by 11:55. I got home changed clothes and had a quick bite to eat.

Bro. Crook and I were on are way. We drove to Twin Fall, Idaho, where spent the night.

We then drove from Twin Falls to Henderson Nev. It was a long hot ride. My credit card stop working. It was a security element. When the card is being used out of state they stop authoritization. Sandy had to call them and let them know I was on a trip.

We hit some rode construction. That is when it gets really hot, just standing around on the pavement.

Friday evening we caught up with Greg Rose. He had made reservations at a motel in Henderson. The next morning we got up early to beat the heat and rode across Hover Dam. Bro. Crook had to pull over and have his trailor check. As you can see from the next picture the water is pretty low (about 60 to 70 feet).

From Hoover dam we started route 66 at Kingsman.

From Kingsman we backtracked to Oatman Az. It is an old mining town. They let the donkey go when they stopped mining. They now roam the streets of Oatman.

When stayed in Flagstaff Az. and Sunday morning visited the Grand Canyon. The went back to Flagstaff for church.

From Flagstaff we went through Winona, Winslow, and then on to Holbrook.

We stayed at the Wigwam motel.

We were then off to Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is the route 66 dinner were we had lunch.

We made as far as Santa Fe New Mexico. That night on the Weather Channel they were predicting severe weather, Hail, high winds, rain and possible tornados. So we left route 66 and head back for Utah. We went through Four Corners. Here I am standing in four state at the same time. Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Before we left New Mexico we found Madaris where they filmed "Wild Hogs. This is Maggie Dinner.

My brother in law Ken McGinnis caught up with us and rode with us for a few days.

Before leaving Colorado we stopped at Mesa Verde. We were able to climb up to one of the dwellings. It was awesome.

The went to three parks in Utah. The first was Archs National Park.

Next Bryces National Park. I liked it the most. OOPS I just deleted the picture.

We saw these in Zions National Park.

A House of a Different Color

Isn't this a lovely color! I really love the door and lg pot.

We are felling so relaxed since the wedding festivies are over. Tonight we are going to the Temple to do endowments. I can't wait to feel the peace and spirit of the Temple. It seems all your worries and concerns fade. I love to have a prayer in the Celestrial Room after each session. It gives me strength and hope for answers and blessings in the lives of my family. I God lives and loves us! The Temple is evidence of his love.

We had FHE here and Mark Mace who just returned form his mission gave a great lesson. We have Linger Longer on Sunday and the Priesthod is in cahrge of bringing all the food. Should be interesting to see if we have enough! Dad's going to make a lasagna.

I can't get over how beautiful spring is around here! It's so green and I love all the beautiful flowers. The birds are out in full force and the sounds are sweet. Last night Janet came over to visit and we had a great time sitting out side and sharing news. I am so blessed to have such a good friend. One more month from today till school is out for summer vacation!!!

You all know with the weather being hot Dad will be riding tomorrow with the guys. It's his hobby that brings him happiness and relief from stress. I will be having a SMALL yard sale with the Shadow Runs annual yard sale. What ever doesn't sell will go to the good will! Dejunking the house gives me pleasure! We really do have too many things we hang on to.

The boys are just getting cuter by the day. They are learning so much now. It brings back so many sweet memories of you all when you were babies having them right here to observe.

Jillian and Cody need to update thier blog but don't have internet. I will tell you they are doing fine. Cody found another job for a plummer and will start Monday. He will make $2 more an hour and get more hours (40). Jillian really needs to find a new job too. She hates her currant job. Been there too long. We need to go over there to see her apt.

Kim is flagging in the day and working Winco from 6-10 at night and all day week ends. I think trying to make enough money for the bills means she doesn't get to see the kids much. Summer sill be hard for them.

We're Back!!!!

I must really love these kids if I play candyland with them! What a good thing to do when it's snowing.

Valentine's day! What cute little valentine's! I love holding both of them. What fun to see them every day and how they are changing. They have been smiling this week and we all act so goofy just to see the smiles.

Dad and I really enjoyed having yesterday off! We went to a movie after we hit the gym. I wish I could say I am losing lots of inches exercising but that is not he case. I am getting stronger though.

Dad and I have taken the challenge to read the Book of Morman this year with the branch. We bought a book to help us learn more as we read.

I think the out come of this national election really worries Dad and I and the effect the new president will have on ur wonderful Nation. Our advice to our family is to be dilligent in reading the Book of Morman and GET YOUR FOOD STORAGE! And last but not the least, get out of debt.

We are so Happy Rochelle's cancer is shrinking! How blessed she is to live when we have new drugs that can help her. You CAN beat this Ro! The family is your cheer leading teem! It has been such a blessing to see all the charity friends and family have given her. Thanks!!!!

Dad got out the motor cycle yesterday and rode alittle. He is getting anxious to have nicer weather so he can go out more often. The sun tricks us into thinking spring is here! But the air is still cool.

Check out these pictures. This is about 6 hours later. Ryan went out on the patio and measured the how deep the snow was. It was 7 inches, I am quessing maybe 8 to 9 inches by now. Check out the bottom of the fence. The snow right now is up the bottom of 2x4.
Also the trampline is complete gone, just the cylinder shape of snow on top of the trampline.

I am not sure how tall the arm of the sun dial is but it is almost gone.

I can not remember how long it's been since I have seen it snow this hard for this long.

Tristin was admitted to the hospital on Monday the 21st with RSV. He had a bad cough that was crackling in his chest. They had him on oxygen and was given him treatments. He was able to come home on Friday. Saturaday Gavin was admitted to the hopital. Same thing, RSV. He is not as bad and probably will not stay as long. Bailey and Kooper flew in to visit Kendall and Tristin. It was a nice visit. I didn't get to see them to much. I was busy Tues, Wed. and Thurs. in the evening. Kooper loved playing with Carter and mom's day care.

Dad and Tristin. This is how dad babysit. Time just flies by.

We are getting snow. They canceled all of our Church meeting today. Freezing rain last night and now 4 to 6 inches of snow. It is fun to watch the snow fall. We are suppose to get a couple more hours of snow. Rochelle and Ryan are on their way over to spend the day with us. Turkey dinner to night for dinner.

Kendall and Gavin are getting aquainted. What a beautiful mom and cute kid.

This is Gavin Martin, 6 lbs. 11 oz. he was born second so he is the younger brother. Born Dec. 19th. around 12:40 pm.

This is Tristin Rodger. What a great name. Tristin is the oldest brother but is only 5 lbs. 15 oz. so even though he is older his brother is bigger.

The doctor says they are not identical. They are health and have all their fingers and toes. They were released to come home Dec. 20th around 6:00 pm. Now the fun really begins.

Thanks Bailey! Since we haven't updated our blog since Oct I guess this forces me to do it. You know if I was as funny at saying things as my girls I would look forward to this assignment. You all know how much I love Dad so here goes.

1.Every where we go we see people who have had kids in Dad's class at Burbank. Even last night in the Temple we saw Bishop Lot ans his wife. They were strangers to me but they knew Dad. And every time we see people who know him they ALWAYS say "You are my kids favorite teacher by far". So if you didn't know this, your Father is loved by many not just his family.

2. Dad loves to do yard work and is happiest when he has a project to do out there. He really has a green thumb. It wasn't always this way. Trial and error and tips from his father. So it is a learned thing but he definitely has a gardening talent. I think he would have made a great landscaper as a career. Thank goodness he chose teaching, the insurance has been a blessing to our family.

3. Even I didn't know this about Dad until a year ago, He loves riding motorcycles!!! I am so glad his back is better so he can ride again in in the Spring. He loves his Honda Aero. I've never seen anything besides his kids and grandchildren to make him smile and laugh with such pure joy! He is so handsome in his leathers and bandanna, look out Peter Fonda (Easy Rider star)!

4. Dad believes in free agency and practices it in our marriage. He lets me make my own choices. It has helped me learn from my choices. When we married I couldn't make choices on my own very well. I thought I would go from a Mom to help me to a Husband to make them for me. I can't say I give him the same courtesy, that's one of the reasons I value that quality in him. I think it is a quality our Heavenly Father has.

5. Bet you didn't know what a sense of humor your Dad has:) I guess that's not a secret to you who know him. That quality is what lead me to fall in love with him. What fun to have someone to laugh with during the good and tough times. He keeps things in prospective for me. There is always a funny side to things or a blessing to see in life's trial's.

Well maybe you knew all these things about Dad but it is nice for me to remember and write them down!

Dad's back is still a pain

Just got back from the surgeon. He said, another month with physical therapy. I was so emotional just knowing a time, and no surgery that I broke into tears coming home. I have three appoints set up for therapy next week. Called Mr. Taylor my principle told him and now just a lot of therapy work.
Mom celebrated Kim's move by cleaning and Kendall didn't hestiate to move into the middle bedroom. Life is good.
Mom and I grateful for all our blessings, family, friends, jobs, health, the gosple, the priesthood, and for prayer.

I Loved the cruise and Hawaii! But mostly I loved being with my family! What a great opportunity for me to grow closer to them. A person really gets spoiled on the ship.

These Pictures are on Oahu. The rest of my pictures are on Steve's lap top. He will be sending them to me soon. I was unprepared with such a small digital camera card! I took about 300 pictures and mine only holds 100.

I love the Temple grounds! They are so beautiful. I can't decide if I love the Ocean beaches or the green mountains best. Snorkling was my favorite thing! I was so brave to do it with out Rodger to hang on to. The fish are so wonderful.

Back to School

Dad and I are back in the swing of things and glad we had such a nice summer. I went to Packwood with Rochelle's family and Dad went on his bike with Cole Labor Day. I tried to put pictures up and my blog won't let me or I am doing something wrong. Janet and I went the the Parade of Homes Saturday. Ther are some very rich people out there and some very pretty homes. There were two that were contemporary in design and in decor. They were interesting to look at but I would never choose that for my self. We ahd another wedding reception on Friday. One of the Linde girls. We have had a bunch of weddings this year. Our branch numbers are dwindling. We had our branch dinner on thursday and we only had about 15 come. Last night we had FHE here and we had about 10. I made sinful brownies and they loved them! Wed we have branch temple baptisms. I am going to do a session while Dad helps with the baptisms. So we are keeping busy. I am looking forward to the cruise next week. I'm alittle nevous that I won't be able to tolerate so much ease and relaxing:)

Camping at Mount Rainier

Jillian, Kendall and the grandkids roped mom and I into camping. They wanted to go to Mount Rainier. So Monday and Tuesday we did the primative life style.

We had two absolutely beautiful days. The road was block to Sun Rise, so we hiked and did all of our sight seeing on the south side of the mountain.

We hiked around Paradise, Silver Falls and the Grove of the Patriarchs. Kamden and Carter did really good. Although Carter hitched a ride most of the time.

We camped at Ohonakopoch . We had somemores, hot dogs, chips, and of course dutch oven pineapple upside down cake.

On Tuesday after hiking to Silver fall and back we hike the Grove of the Patiarchs. The Bridge was out from a Flood they had on Nov. 6th 2006. After several day of steady rain they got 18 inch in one day. You could tell it was quite high at one point. Damaged the bridge. As you could see from the picture. They allowed one person at a time to across. It took along time to cross because there was a large family infront of us.

Coming back Jillian and I brought Kamden and Carter across the bridge. Everyone else crossed the river.

After hiking we had lunch and came home.

Mom was out riding around on Dad motorcycle again.

I made it. It was a wonderful trip. Here are some pictures and a few stories about the trip. It all started Tues. morning at 6 am. We met at a gas station by the Cable bridge. There were six of us. David Mills only went as far a Dayton where we stop for breakfast. There was only one bike problem. Of course it was my bike. I went to fill up my bike in Dayton and my bike would not start. My battery was dead. They push started me and I drove to Lewiston Idaho were I purchased a new battery.

Once we got into Idaho John Mayfield went to Missoula, Montana to do some work. The four of us headed south towards Boise. Along the way we saw several fires. This one we stopped and watch this helicopter dip his bucket into a river and fly away to dump it on the fire a few miles away.

I saw some of the prettiest country. Mountains, streams, trees and blue skies. It was absolutely wonderful. The smells were strong and wonderful. We did run into some road construction. It give a chance to rest our bottoms. We rode about 445 miles the first day. That a long time in the saddle.

My bike is in front I placed a pillow against my T-bag for a back rest. It worked great. All the other bikes were bigger and had music to listen to. I forgot to take mom's mp3 player. So I would sing at the top of my lungs and no one would hear me.

The 1st night we spent on the Salmon River in Stanley Idaho. Small town - it's main income tourism. River Rafting Businesses. Our motels was about 5 feet from the river. We were on the 2nd floor with balcony that over looked the river. We got up at 5:00 and left at about 6:00 and followed the river. Again beautiful country. We saw a lot of deer along the river.

We were heading to Butte, Montana both Dick Brown and myself were getting low on gas. What an interesting feeling that was.

We got to Butte, Montana and headed straight for John's Pork Chop Sandwich's Shop. John Mayfield and Dick Brown had some shirt made up just for the occasion. ON the back it says Butte, Montana - Pork Chop Run - 2007

I was more than alittle concerned about a pork chop sandwich. However it turned out to be very good.

On our way out of town we stopped at the big open pit copper mine.

Interesting.

After Butte we headed to Virgina City. On the way we stopped and did alittle mining for garnets. You can't see it very good but the owner, who is standing next to me went and got some big garnets, one of which I am holding in my fingers. We are trying to act like I just found a big garnet worth a lot of money.

After about an hour there we were off for Virgina City.

As you can see it is an old town. Population I believe was just over 100 people. However during the summer streets are full of tourist.

Big gold mining back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. When the gold ran out everyone just left. A man and woman saw that town was dieing in 1940 or 50's. They bought up most of the town and started to maintain it until they died. The state stepped in and help to maintain it for tourism.

This is the hotel we stayed at.

It was built back in the early 1900's.

Two beds and sink. The toilet and shower were down the hall where we shared it with the other guest.

This is the theater we visited. We watched a play and some vaudeville acts. It was all very good.

One of the acts was a girl that sang and walked around flirting with men. So we all moved away from Dick Brown so she would flirt with him but the manager was sitting behind us and motioned to the girl to come over to Greg Rose. We all got up and left Greg by himself. It was a lot of fun and laughs.

The next day we were off to Yellowstone. We came in on the Northwest side. Back in the 50's there was a big earthquake and land slide. We stopped and learned all about it. We actually enter the park at West Yellowstone. We saw all the animals, mud pots, and gyserys. As you can see from the photo not a lot of clouds. It was about 10 minutes to Old Faithful. We waited about 45 minutes at the lodge for it to blow. It started to sprinkle.

We put our rain gear on and continued north to where the road cuts back to West Yellowstone. There is a big pairie where the bafflo roam.

By now we are in hard rain, a thunder storm, with lightening and thunder all around us. The traffic in the other lane is stop because of a stalled truck and we bumper to bumper in the middle of the bafflo. A park ranger truck is coming down the middle of the road trying to get to the stalled truck. There is no should but we have to pull of the road to let him by. The only problem was there were to bafflo 5 feet from the road where I was to pull over. I just kept moving. It rained until we where almost to Rexburg.

We spent the night in Rexburg. I spent the night with Bailey, Mike and Kooper.

In the morning we drove up by the temple to check it out.

We were off for Baker City via Arco.

It was hot, hot, hot. 102 in Boise.

We spent the night in Baker City. The motel had a pool. We spent about an hour, maybe two in it cooling down. We drove that night to the next town. The town I believe is Hanes, very small. However, it had a steak house where Greg Rose paid for dinner. It was fanastic.

The next morning we drove to Sumpter and checked out the old dredge. We then drove up Cracker Creek to a minning camp. Yes this is the same creek where I got buckets of dirt to pan for gold in the back yard. We did about 3 hours of minning. and about 3 and half hour trip home. It was great. I am ready to go again. I would like to take mom this time. We are planning a trip around the north cascade highway sometime in August. Only three day and with mom on the bike. So stay tuned.

The long ride for biscuits and gravey

Mom and I got up at 6:00 am and drove an hour and 10 minutes to Dayton. We stopped at a little old shop and had the their world famous "Biscuits and Gravey". We rode to the large Metropolis of Waitsburg where we filled up with gas and continued our adventure through Dixie to Walla Walla. When we were about half way home a very strong wind came up and we could a large storm ahead of us. So we hurried home and just in time. About 20 to 30 minutes we had a lightening, thunder, wind and rain. Mom was great and loved it. We plan on going to Mount Rainier in the near future. The bike is running great after new tires and an oil change.

We are looking forward to bring Kendall and Jillian home on Tues. and the family reunion Thurs, Friday and Saturday. We will miss Chauntel and Jeremy and kids. We love you.

Biker Babe

How do you like my riding jacket Dad bought me for an early birthday gift? Now I will be safer and warmer. Dad is changing the oil and spark plugs on the bike today. He is saving alot of money by doing it himself. To take it in to have it done costs about $250!
We have our Regional activity tonight and it is over 100! It's suppose to be a parking lot dance but I think we will have to have it inside to keep cool.
Dad has taken Kim to the airport to go to vagas to visit a guy freind for 5 days. We will have the girls for most of that time.
We are really looking forward excitedly, to our family reunion!!! We wish Chauntel and her family could be here. Maybe they will come for Christmas?!

Dad and I drove back to Sumpter to get buckets full of dirt from the creek bed. Dad is panning for gold in the back yard now! We had a great day on our anniversary, a road trip, the mountains, a sweet visit with each other, and dinner out. He's the greastest husband ever!

I am going to Alexis's hip hop performance tonight. Kim said she did great last night at her performance.

Tomorrow we will join Rochelle's family for dinner. Happy Father's day to all my great Son-in law's!!! We love you guys! Thanks for all you do for your children and wives!

Tuesday we go to Chauntel's. We will take some cute pictures and post when we gt home.

Eight things I Love or eight things about me.

If I understand this correctly, I can write four things I love and four things about me.

1. I am madly in love with Sandra. My love for her has grown for 34 years. She is my best friend and my eternal companion. She is the mother to my six daughters. She make me laugh. She inspires me to be good.

2. I love the Lord, my savior and redeemer. I am so grateful for his life, sacrifice and gospel.

3. I love my family. All six of the most beautiful girls that every walk this earth. Their husbans that provide and take care of them. For 10 wonderful grandkids. I love it when we get together. I am looking forward to our reunion.

4. I enjoy riding my motorcycle. Warm days, the wind, the sights and smell. It is absolutely the greatest feeling of freedom.

5. I am ready to retire. I love sleeping in to 6:30 or 7:00. Getting up and deciding what to do for that day. Not having to prepare lesson plans and putting up with disrespectfully kids.

6. I would love to buy a small farm. An older house, barn, with about 20 arces of land. Something to keep me busy but not over worked. Lots of trees for shade when we get together. A few animals - a cow or two, a horse, a pig, a dog and maybe a few chicken for fresh eggs once in while.

7. I would like to travel alittle. It would be wonderful to go back to Germany with Sandra and visit my mission, Europe and even the Holy Land. I would like to see parts of Asia. However I would settle for vacation in Hawaii or a nice long cruise.

8. I am looking forward to a misson with Sandra. Either working with Young Single Adults, working in Salt Lake or a church historical site in a visitors center. Maybe in germany working with inactives or in a mission home. Hopeful not in Hepner Oregon, but I will go where ever the Lord asks me to go.

Summer Vacation Finally!

Kids names Marcel, Haley, Carson, Kylie, Macy, Ryker

Last day of daycare for the summer! We will be going to Dallas on the 19th! Can't wait to see Chauntel's family. Dad plans to ride his bike alot, Paint the house and fence, have a Rodger Schultz family reunion in July. I plan to DEEP clean the house and garage, read, sunbathe, drink lemonaid, visit grand children and travel around the country side by motorcycle. And try to do as little babysitting as possible!

WE are busy with the branch as usual. Last night we had our branch spighetti dinner. Tonight we are in charge of the regional activity which is a BBQ and softball game. Tomorrow we clean the bldg. Sunday we have a linger longer. Monday we have FHE here. WE sure love the callings serving in the YSA branch!

Dad's in a golf tourny today with the teachers and friends at 1 when school gets out. He looks forward to that. His classes launched Rockets today. Thanks goodness the wind died down.

Memorial Day Weekend

Hi Family, These were taken in Sumpter, Oregon. It's an old gold mining town. Dad loved this Dredge (large boat with scoops). Dad panned for gold and brought home some gold flecks and some garnets he panned. We visited the flea market in town. We had a nice day. We enjoyed getting away together for a few days. Our friends let us stay in thier home while since they were gone. So it was a cheap getaway!

8 More days of school and counting! We are both looking forward to sleeping in and not working with kids all day.

Dad is taking a motorcycle class to get his endorsement (license) Wed and Thur. He had to take two days off of school. So he only has 6 more days!

Wee are planning a trip to Dallas to see Chauntel's family June 19- 26th. Can't wait! This will be the first time we have seen Jackson since his surgery, and we will get to see thier new home!

These are cute pictures of Kara and Carter when I watched them this week.
Dad is enjoying riding his bike to school and on rides with friends! On Monday for FHE we rode with our friends the Roses out to Benton City and home on beautiful back roads! It was so warm we rode in short sleeves. I can see why Das loves the bike we had alot of fun seeing the lovely word unhindered. My favorite part is putting my arms around him and talking into his ear:)

Yesterday Rochelle's family took me to breakfast. Kim and Kara joined us. It was fun to be with them! Dad made me breakfast this morning, yum! Rochelle has invited us for a BBQ tonight after church. I feel spoiled and loved! I hope my daughters who are blessed to be Mother's will have a nice day with their families! Happy Mother's Day from your mother!

Please keep Jackson in your prayers this week. He needs our faith and prayers to help him grow and be healthy.

Dad and I are counting the days until we have our summer vacation! I love this warm weather!

It was so nice to have family here today! We had waffles for breakfast and rode the motorcycle after the first session. Such fun for the kids and Ryan! We will BBQ after the last session. I am looking forward to Easter and everyone except Chauntel's family being here! Alexis has her 10th birthday on Wed. and Cater has his 2nd birthday on Thur. Party time! Today was the first time I have been on Dad's motorcycle. It was fun but cold. It's 50 out. Dad is haveing a hard time shaking his cough and cold symptoms. We are so excited to have a break from work this next week!!!!!

I know we've been busy, but it's all church stuff. We have an over nighter this week end at Camp Kiwanis. Dad's been home with the flu for two days and I'm not sure he will feel well enough to go with us.
I am so looking forward to spring break! The kids have been trying my patience lately.
I had a wonderful time in Rexburg with the girls! They are all so busy and doing so well! I love you all! thank you, thank you!
